Teaching and Learning - Visual Arts

At Lancefield Primary School students are involved in an hour session of Visual Arts each week. The students create visual art works that communicate and express ideas, providing them with the opportunity to explore and expand their understanding of their world. Through Visual Arts, students make and respond using visual arts knowledge, engaging them in a journey of discovery, experimentation and problem-solving relevant to visual perception and visual language. They learn about the role of the artist and designer as well as the relationships between the viewer and artworks. Learning in the Visual Arts leads students to become increasingly confident and proficient in achieving their personal visual aesthetic, appreciating and valuing that of others.
